While the licensing of anime doesn't kill the anime itself... It's the horrible dubbing that comes with it... Do you know exactly how bad Lucky Star was butchered!!!~ KONA-CHAN DOESN'T SOUND LIKE KONA CHAN ANYMORE!!
=_( So what can we do to stop this virus from spreading onto future favorites... I say DEATH TO HORRIBLE VOICE ACTORS! |

Re: Death to anime due to Licensed dubbing.
Well it easier for me to go dub to understand the anime, but I would rather have the orginal voice actor since the dubbing usually ruins the anime (that why I go to sub each time). I fire all the dub actors and replace them with good ones or none at all (I'm fine with sub).

Re: Death to anime due to Licensed dubbing.
for me the answer is simple....avoid everything with the 4kids logo if you can do that you got good anime ((Unfortunately the time frame it is aired also tends to effect what can be aired and not IE compare how Yu Yu was aired on Adult Swim compated to Toonami and compare Bleach to Naruto both dubbed by the same company))

Re: Death to anime due to Licensed dubbing.
I hate english dubbing (or in any other languag. Because in most of the times english-speaking actors don't take seriously the part given to them and ruin the character of the anime. In the best occasion (and I say that in the worst kind of way) especially in action animes all the characters sound like they came out from DBZ.

Re: Death to anime due to Licensed dubbing.
What can we do? Figure out how to make sure only voice actors that can show more than one emotion get hired. It's simple in theory, yet it doesn't happen...

Re: Death to anime due to Licensed dubbing.
And who force you to watch the dubbed version?
Not all Eng dub is bad and not all Japanese voice acting is good either. Link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Re: Death to anime due to Licensed dubbing.
Voice actors in Japan are what I consider real pros in other countries I just think they are jokes of what a real voice actor should be.It seems like Europe and America have yet to learn that lesson
