Pink Pineapple stop US distribution??

Hi guys & girls,
I heard a rumor that Pink Pineapple is not going to do US distribution anymore so no more uncensored stuff. Their releases are quite well, such as the recent one "Pollinic Girls Attack" .I really want to see uncensored staff, not those censored ...:fadeba1b:
Is that official?
What do you think about it?

I love their hentai. I can't stand when a hentai is censored. Seriously, it's not like we don't know what is behind the blur.

From what I know this is actually old news and it's 110% official. Something happened and PinkPineapple just aren't interested in bringing their stuff to the states anymore for awhile. It's sad I know, I'd love to see Pollinic Girls Attack uncensored myself and whatnot, but nothing can really be done about it. It could be a very long time before they bring their stuff over again.

For an indefinite period (until someone offers them enough money to change their minds?), with the exception of Media Blasters/Kitty Media's re-releases of older series (e.g., the original Shusaku, which was previously licensed by NuTech).

Nice info DocWatson. In the end, just more proof that censorship is truly a stupid idea if you ask me. I've heard a lot of stories of licensed material hurting sales of the original stuff in Japan, since when these titles get brought over to the US they'll be uncensored, so people will just wait for those releases and import them. This problem would not exist at all if Japan simply didn't censor their stuff.

Most of my favorites are censored and it doesn't totally bother me, but I'm not a fan of the practice at all. If some young person ended up seeing say a tentacle rape hentai, regardless if it were censored, that's not going to make the experience any different. Eh, I can't really explain myself here with this but oh well ... it's dumb.

As the various cases cited in the pages linked above demonstrate, this is easier said than done. :-(
