AFAIK Code tag is used to preserve plain text formatting, kinda like PRE tag in HTML.

Using Code tag generally tells the forum to display text as it is without interpreting them or applying default formatting tags.
Like Multiple Spaces / Tabs r not ignored. using a url doesn't turn into a link because URL tags r not applied by default and etc.

Ah i know now why is it happening.

Its because of the URL tag. Just use a simple url without [URL*][/*URL] tags. Now this looks better

I think its better to describe CODE tags as simply

Code tag is used to preserve plain text formatting, kinda like PRE tag in HTML. Code tags interpret the wrapped around text in monospace form and allows multiple spaces and tabs to preserve formatting which is normally ignored by these kinda boards..
