Thanks ^.^ I didn't know about the "/ipconfig /flushdns"
also u don't have to do the cmd.ext you can just put it in like this in the Start --> Run /ipconfig /flushdns /ipconfig /release /ipconfig /renew and they auto close after eachother's actions are complete ![]() |

Re: Error 403 Forbidden!
Euh... I have no idea if this is applicable or not... But if you have a static IP adres then the flushing will not do you any good. Especially if you are behind a so called router....
An ISP gives you an Internet adress (IP-adress) and that adress can only be changed by the ISP. If you are on Dail-Up then it should change very time you dial into the Internet. But else it would just stay the same. Some ISP's let is change but here in my country they do not. So flushing and renewing an IP adres does not work for you then..... The reason for that is that you only refresh your own local IP adress on your network/subnet. For example... My IP adres on the internet is 80.126.X.X (I am not posting my full adress here if you guys dont mind it :P The admins are able to see my adress.) My IP adres on my computer is as following. Quote:
The important part is the following. Windows IP-configuratie Host-naam . . . . . . . . . . . .: Killua911 Primair DNS-achtervoegsel. . . . .: tuinhuis.local Knooppunttype: . . . . . . . . . .: onbekend IP-routering ingeschakeld. . . . .: nee WINS-proxy ingeschakeld . . . . . : nee DNS-achtervoegselzoeklijst. . . . : tuinhuis.local Ethernet-adapter LAN-verbinding: Verbindingsspec. DNS-achtervoegsel: Beschrijving . . . . . . . . . . .: NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Fysiek adres. . . . . . . . . . . : 00-19-66-38-30-98 DHCP ingeshakeld. . . . . . . . . : ja Autom. configuratie ingeschakeld. : ja IP-adres. . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.25 Subnetmasker. . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Standaardgateway. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1 DHCP-server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1 DNS-servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1 Lease verkregen . . . . . . . . . : woensdag 13 februari 2008 3:08:27 Lease verlopen . . . . . . . . . : donderdag 21 februari 2008 3:08:27 It is in dutch but if you type ipconfig /all in a dos window then you should see almost the same output. Mark the following:
DHCP ingeshakeld == DHCP Enabled (it is set to yes) The IP-adres is 192.168.0.25 The server that gave me that adres is 192.168.0.1 I got that IP adres on a wednesday 13 feb 2008 at 3:08:27 It will give me a new one on Thursday 21 feb 2008 at 3:08:27 If I would type ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew I would get a new IP adres like 192.168.0.10. So that is purely the internal adress. The external adres that this website sees is only the 80.126.X.X Or it will see my DNS name ;) That is becaus I have a network here. So if you are at a public place and you try to refresh your IP-adress then you are out of luck. First of all they should have it blocked and second of all... Your external IP adres does not work. Then for the flushdns. What does flushdns do.... flushdns is a command that flushes the Dynamic Naming System/Service. So that means that DNS is a tool that gets IP adresses for names. It is a complicated way of doing things so I wont try to explain it becaus it is not needed... But IMAGINE that nihonomaru will relocate it's servers and get a new IP adress then you should use ipconfig /flushdns Else you will not need it. It takes about 15 minutes to rebuild the cache btw ;) DNS is cashed locally on your computer. If you reset the nework connection as described by Girlcelly then you are doing exactly the same as in the black DOS window. But then it has a nicer look. So basically if you have a device that is connected to the internet 24/7 then chanses are that you will not have any luck to get on this site again if your IP adress is banned and if that IP adress does not change that is. (This is in most of the cases...) So if you then get a 403 then you are banned from viewing that website. Quote:
http://www.whatismyip.com/ Then try the commands of refreshing the IP adress and then connect to that site again and see if the number has changed... If the number changed then you have a Dynamic IP adress (it changes) If it does not change then you have a Static IP adress provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) And if it does not change and you get a 403 then it is no good to refresh your IP adress since it will not give you access to the site's that give you a 403.

Re: Error 403 Forbidden!
192.168.0.25 can't be ur i-net ip coz 192. range is private net and is not routed...thats just ur lan ip

My IP isn't static, so it would change also.
Some DL hosts like Megaupload and Rapidshare, if you don't have a static IP, Then you can do it in this order UN-Plug Modem Plug-In Modem Start --> Run /ipconfig /flushdns /ipconfig /release /ipconfig /renew And the IP will cange for you so you can download again without having to wait forever for the time when you can download from that host again. Also, it's not a good idea to post all ur IP information online. that's a Hackers Goldmine right there... ![]() |

I know that it is a private IP adress that I am posting. I would be pretty insane to post my full external IP adress because then it will become a hackers goldmine ;) Quote:
I used my own internal network information becaus some of us may be behind a router so they get an IP adress that does change for them locally but not on the Inet... That is why I tried to explain it so easy as possible.
