Help with Macromedia Fireworks

Since I can't seem to get Photoshop CS3, I thought about my current Macromedia Fireworks a shot. I did a lot of the same stuff, but need some kind of a tutorial to be able to do what I want to do, which is signatures/banners. I'd love some advice or help if anyone can help me out.

I would suggest Photoshop CS2, more features and easier to use then fireworks.. >.>
