One advice is to take down grammar first, cause vocabulary first would take forever, and they'll come to you as your life goes on. Funny how i always found the news words i leaned jumps into action the next day.
So i recommand this http://www.guidetojapanese.org/, it's a very good grammar guide. Last words: Don't take anything for granted, to truly understand a language(in fact anything in life) you need to write your own definition. Edit: Almost forgot, if you're good with the grammar, it would much easier to guess the stuff you don't know, if there is any

Here's a technique I developed: run both translated and Japanese version of the same visual novel(preferably one that has replay). And remember, you can always get google to translate for you.
For showing off and boost people's interest in learning the language: I memorized the whole hiragana and katakana table in one day :)

I too been wanting to learn japanese, but I don't have the patience to sit down in front of the monitor.
The easiest way would be college, Which I'm enrolling next spring and take japanese as a foreign language. |
