There.. really aren't many topics that focus on current events in the world. I guess the news is just too depressing nowadays huh? Well here's something you could consider a little on the lighthearted side, maybe.

As the title suggests, Japan has placed a national law two months ago that mandates companies and local governments to measure the waistlines of Japanese people between the ages of 40 and 74 as part of their annual checkups. That would represent about 56 million waistlines, or 44 percent of the total population. [Just a side comment from me, keep making those babies people!! Lol.] Anyway, what do you guys and ladies think about this? [I know people will say this is strange, but that's just because no one else does this. If you're the only one who bothers to study, then are you considered strange? Heh, just food for thought.] So, comments?

Japan looks to be about the last country that needs to worry about an obese population. Over in America, people keep growing and growing, and the government cares very little about the situation.

Last check up here in Holland also my waist was measured. Next to Weight, length and chemical tests with a blooddroplet on sugardesease and Cholestrol.
It was a company-paid and issued check up, not the government from the Netherlands that issued and paid for it. I do not know why, except it gives a easy check up that gives a idea in what health state you are.
