FAYETTEVILLE, Georgia — Authorities investigating the apparent murder-suicide of Canadian-born professional wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and their young son said Tuesday that details of the deaths may seem a “little bizarre” when released to the public.

The family was found dead Monday, and authorities were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide. Investigators believe the 40-year-old Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, 47, and son, Daniel, 7, over the weekend, then himself on Monday.

“The details, when they come out, are going to prove a little bizarre,” Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper
I knot it may seem bad, but I respect him as a wrestler, he was the type of person, even tho his back was agains the wall, he took everything to the extreme *especially with headbuts*. Keeping that in mind, people that watch wrestling really respected his never-give-up attitude in wrestling *not in what happened*

:defeat: :defeat: :defeat: :defeat: :defeat:

Edit: I just watched the news on TV, and it just states that he Strangled his Wife, then Smothered his Son, and then hung himself....
That just goes to show you, that too many Head blows can cause serious problems.

I also don't follow wrestling much, but I read in other forums that some fans simply don't choose to buy into this story, since the guy never seemed off at all. So how many of you think there's something wrong with this story? I've got to admit, this whole murder-suicide thing doesn't seem all that plausible, but that's just me.

they were saying stareoids were part of the cause, but they retracted that story, when they found out the metabolic stareoids that were there, was actually his son's. his son was mentally handicap, and the stareoids were to help improve his son's growth.

Re: R.I.P. Chris Benoit [WWE/ECW Wrestler]

I follow wrestling every week. And I kind of had a bad feeling when chris benoit did not appear at the vengence paperview on sunday and was replaced by johnny nitro for an ecw championship match against c.m Punk. the text messages that were sent out to some of his peers were kind of creepy and maybe a cry for help. he kept texting his whole physical address. and where his two dobermen pinchers were located at his house. there were stories of him being paranoid and depressed at times over the past few months. He was one of my favorites along with eddie guerrero. it's going to be sad not seeing the rabid wolverine after watching him thru his 22 year career. R.I.P Chris.
