Yeah FF7, "Still More Fighting". I love the guitars in that song, and the Jenova theme. I always get nostalgic when I hear those songs.
Guitarooman has some good tracks too.
And I cant forget Devil May Cry 3!!!!

Tenchu, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Tropico, Sam & Max, Red Alert, Morrowind, Brothers in Arms have great opening songs.

7: Secret of mana

This! The music in Secret of Mana 2 was absolutely awesome.

I also love the music of Meta Knight in SSBB, and Kirby's Gourmet Race music. Pure genius.

Hmm... in my opinion 'Fragments of Memories' from FFVII and Crisis Core was one of the greatest.

However the greatest songs have originated from Zelda games for me. Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask are the main sources, but games like 'Link's Awakening DX' for gameboy colour had some awesome and memorable songs.

Close runners up to these though are some of the tracks from Blazblue.

Songs such as 'Oriental Flower', 'Lust Sin' and 'Calamity Trigger', to name but a few.

My favorite goes to Legend of Mana theme song, especially Town of Domina soundtrack.

I like many other theme songs, but they are not as favorable as Legend of Mana.

I'm especially fond of the soundtrack for Star Wars: Republic Commando. It contributes to the atmosphere so well in the game. Plus, its quite ominous...

Overall, the Castlevania series has brilliant music, as well. Castlevania Judgment's remixes in particular are awesome.
