I'd rather wait a little longer so I can watch a 480p or even a 720p better quality video than not waiting and watching a crappy quality episode in 3 parts on YT.
I download all my anime from fansub groups' websites.

If you don't wanna download then why not buy the DVD's?
Or if you can't get hold of the DVDs, there's plenty of other streaming websites where you can watch FULL EPISODES in higher quality than youtube.

I always watch online.
I have found a new anime site, which not just has the most updated anime news but also tons of anime relevant videos. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Share with you all.^_^

No one certainly has to download or torrent their own anime, but there's better ways to stream anime other than YT. Others have already listed such examples.

The reasons I'd stay away from YT for my anime is that the quality of videos are considerably worse than other places where streaming would be recommended and some videos do have their audio take off due to those copyright law they have.

I agree with most posters, I don't like Youtube. Personally I always download, then I can burn to DVDs or whatever, and also for me they play much more smoothly than when I stream.

Why is it suddenly taboo to watch anime on Youtube? Hell, I'd be surprised if there are even any anime episodes that are still surviving there. I used to watch GALS! on Youtube last year (the English dub, unfortunately. I'm glad they kept the swearing intact). A few weeks ago, I went on, hoping to watch another episode of GALS! and surprise, surprise, every single episode had been taken down.

I'm pretty sure Youtube was the only video site that had those episodes too. Oh well. Nowadays, I go to Anime Season or I just Google Search for episodes. I didn't mind that episodes had to be cut into three parts on Youtube back then.

Quality is horrible too, and they keep inserting their annoying little ads in the middle of episodes, but who's complaining? At least I get to watch KHR! every week... bloody crunchyroll. Kicked all the awesome fansubbers out.
