There's nothing wrong with dressing up Lolita style. I like the style, I think it's very cute.
I like pretty clothes with lots of frilly things and cute details. (Well, to look at at least. Wearing it would be somewhat out of my league )

just dressing in lolita is fine, just a fashion thing really. In hentai its a fair bit different, but in clothing its just as much a fashion thing as putting gel in your fair etc

I bet very,very few people actual know where the term lolita/ lolita complex comes from? it's from a novel called [lolita] by Vladamir Nobakov I have a copy in .doc format if any one wants it just hit me up on Yahoo IM it's a great read.

but the cosplay lolita doesn't have anything in common with that character anymore. in cosplay and in some subcultures lolita is a fashion style and the term pertains mostly to clothing. the pedophile mind doesn't care about that (except for the fetishes that can occur), but care about age. so i find nothing sickening about the idea in general. and i have to wonder, those people who are disgusted by it, what do they think of when seeing a lolita on the streets? who's the real pervert? *sigh*
