different size files are caused from different styles of encoding, normally if you encode properly you can force a program to encode every file as the same size, also how long each episode is comes into affect (you don't generally see an anime have the exact same length of time for every episode, the time limits can be 30secs off or even almost 3 minutes)

all in all though a very good up, i own all the deathnote dvds myself, but this will save me some time before i make my own encodes
