Finally it is my pleasure to give out a review of Akikan episode 5. FIRST OF ALL from here on there will be a possibility of blood with high pitch drama along with lots of crying, pain and a resolve! I do have to admit that I have cried so much from a lot of animes. I will promise you that I will do my best to give out my passion of anime with these reviews. Sad also that the anime Xam'd finished! I will give out the reviews I did of this series soon on this forum. I also thank you all for reputation points. I think it is wise to give them to me if you think the effort is worth those points you give me and for that I will do my best with reviews.BTW there will be a change on my style for some series in that there will be less text with more pictures+text description. This is to maximize some series being reviewed since I got behind and also my saying of a picture is worth a thousand words.....just put your thoughts into it and you will see!
ENOUGH! ON TO THE REVIEW!

The episode starts where it left from last time with the whole story of the Akikan radar and the Elect competition. Kakeru and Melon once again in class because they have the charm! It started out pretty good! Kakeru being the brute and getting himself into a class fight that turned out as a joke since Melon punches hin the end. Najimi coming to class to announce the teacher is coming was plain formal address and Kochikaze stepping Gorou was as well as MELON PUNCH! The shocking first part is that Najimi finally figures out that Melon is a akikan like her own akikan Yell. I DID NOT like Kakeru talking about Melon being a stupid can because that is not loving but insulting.

Most shocking is what follows.OMG Airin is mathematics teacher in Najimi and Kakeru's class! I can feel all of those emotions coming and on top of that she was chosen because of Otoya and HIS STUPID AKIKAN ELECT! It was for Airin to supervise two people with Akikan including Kakeru's akikan (Yeah, you can guess the other Akikan is Yell). So what issues? Well Melon has trouble accepting being in Kakeru school and I can understand that! Think about it this way......Melon and Yell fight in this school and a lot of innocent people will get involved as well as hurt! THIS IS SERIOUS in terms of the situation of this anime should this happen! I WOULD BE PISSED IF THIS HAPPENS! Every anime that got school kids involved (especially shows like Elfen Lied) to the point of blood, murder and killings..........I HATE! Innocent slaughter....how much of it is in the 3D world.....too much to face the reality of it!.

Oh man what followed made me feel like this for Kakeru ( and lots of----------->:1::p!s sedmode:) simply because of HIS STUPID DATE CANCELING! All of this is because he decided to join the Akikan Elect club. Now I read in many forums that people say he has a right because Najimi forced it on him while being drunk. TRUE AND TRUE BUT! The but is simple, she is a childhood friend of his and is willing to give up her virginity for him saving her from those bad guys in episode 2. Is there anything wrong with that? NO! It is a fair move because Kakeru could have been shot to death in that situation. Najimi is willing to spend the rest of her life simply because Kakeru is her savior and thinks he deserves it! I cannot believe he refused her because of being suddenly paranoid because of this Akikan elect along with the fact that Melon got hurt last fight. SERIOUSLY Kakeru grow up and accept Najimi as your girlfriend! It would be best and Melon can still be loved because she is not human so it would be not considered as marriage under law. Therefore both Yell and Melon can serve them once they marry. Although this will translate more into a harem. SO WHAT! Such is the setting of this anime to result in this.

It follows that Kakeru still is pepped up about this Akikan Elect so he goes around school looking like a paranoid soldier from WW2 looking to have been surrounded with invisible enemies. I have to say that THIS IS THE MOST STUPID way of making Kakeru in our eyes see that he is paranoid about this whole thing! This is because he tramples over a lot of people's feelings like that. OH MAN, Kakeru goes around school with Melon to find a spot to get her into a can then back into human form so that she can detect aluminum cans (apparently they can do that if they are cans better than when in girlish form apart from the radar itself working).The funny part if while they were trying to find spots, each of them had couples kissing and making out! Hahhahahahahahha, poor Kakeru and poor,poor, poor Melon! She had to get so shy each time! Kakeru does find a spot but nothing results in the detection so it was a big waste of Kakeru to try this out. WASTE OF TIME IN SCHOOL! Not that Kakeru cares since he does not seem the one to like school anyways and seems more of a delinquent.

Some interesting development issues here! Najimi is imagining what Kakeru might be doing with Melon since she herself knows how it is with her akikan. This makes her soooooo jealous! This could be a problem! A foreshadow to Najimi having murder intent on Kakeru or plain jealous? I detect both hints. Then a switch goes towards Kakeru and Melon in his place discussing strategy about the enemy since they know there is another one in his school. Apparently they find out about her on TV. Good thinking leads that Yell may like a lot sports since she is a sports drink and most likely why she was working at that place. Pretty just because the way Kakeru and Melon were acting in front of the TV. as well as Melon blasting Kakeru with her Melon blast! GOOD comedy!

Ok so what follows makes really because I foresee all of what may happen. ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN! We see Airin calling Najimi to talk about the details of the Akikan Elect (did this not happen already and Najimi seems to affirm that Yell will listen to all her orders!) so why call again with more details? Seems that there is setup happening, especially after Airin tells Najimi that she wants her to meet at a certain place. I do like Kizaki's cell phone attachments! They are so like me! Since I have a lot myself just not as big as the ones of Kizaki's cell phone. Pretty good face expressions of Kakeru during the scene where he is so hungry he cannot not move. It was also surprising that Melon actually ate A MELON! Normally I though that she could not eat anything but drink only. Now does not seem to be the case at all! She ate the melon and on top of that it seems that it worked on recharging. Logically I knew about this because melons have lots of juice in them.

Couple of good things about that scene is the way Kakeru felt in heavens after eating the melon and the fact they (Kakeru and the store owner) reacted with the same appreciation (seems the owner likes his melons). [b]The way Melon looked after eating (notice the owner mentions these melons being fresh and ripped before Kakeru gives one to Melon). SHE WAS SOOOOOOOO------> and after when Kakeru could not finish his sentence of cute! Kakeru had to leave the store since he could not handle such a situation and looked also shy of embarrassment. So Kakeru goes on to eat melon bread! Hahhaha such another good joke to say Kakeru starting to like all that is melon and perhaps even more Melon. It was soooooooooo HILARIOUS of that drawing by Melon of Yell! It is impossible to find out how she looks like that!

So Melon suggests to go on the ferry wheel in order to get a better view thus finding the enemy they are trying to find, obviously since it is the same akikan that hurt Melon and the fact Kakeru is pissed against her for hurting Melon. I think the whole ferry wheel is a good chance for Kakeru to get more intimate with Melon but to Melon it is nothing more than a way to search for Yell. Such a clueless girl! Melon sure is adorable like that! So I though that all would go good until Budoko appeared! NOOOOOOOO! It was so funny that Budoko tries a attack but fails because it has nothing to do with her powers of grapes (she tries to call a super grape cannon by invoking grapefruits and those aren't at all part of her fruit powers BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GRAPES! Hahahha that was dumb!). Good thing it got interrupted by a call from the counter information calling her because Misaki is looking for her! Good thing since it might have been a mess should it have been right away.

The whole scene of the ferry wheel was soooooo but also very very because Melon while being astonished by the view (must be her first time ever) that she her breasts are rubbing Kakeru! NOT GOOD! Kakeru most likely was getting horny and that is not good for his complex since I can see he is the type to be a beast in bed with girls (I assume only). Also Melon got happy and hugged him since he said she could go see the baseball game. That is some good relation development. What follows is not good for foreshadowing! Airin basically made Najimi come to a cafe with a 4:40 pm notion (interesting fact is 4+4+0 in numerology is 8 and 8= Mars thus = war or some battle coming up). Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, the MOE, MOE and MOE of Airin with the cats being all over her! On top of that her shy face and expressions makes me think of those girls who are crazy about cats (to the point of considering the animal as her lover {yes, I know those are sick people who need help} but the point is it might be it since she does not seem interested in Kakeru nor girls so I wonder if it's the cats.)

What follows just reveals to all of us that Airin is indeed working on this with Otoya and also that it is a setup for Najimi to most likely see Kakeru with Melon. Since Airin was at school she knows that it's about the date and that Kakeru said not to her. WHAT A BITCH! That is using a couples misunderstanding to get them to fight! I don't like that at all! IT IS NASTY AND LOW! I also got disgusted, almost puked, did not really feel good and had to cover my eyes when I saw the pictures that Otoya was looking at while talking to Airin on the phone. So apparently he uses Airin with her looks to get guys numbers to rape them? Maybe or just try things with them and in any case I *pukes* at such behavior. I don't kill gays and tolerate them a lot but in anime I don't like it although girls do (lots and lots in Japan, wonder if it scores more when you say to girls your are bisexual in Japan?).

What follows made me soooooooooooooo MAD, CRYING! Why? Why Airin does this? Why the Akikan Elect needs to be so aggressive? WHY! To be honest people if I could do something I would go and kill Airin and Otoya! They are the cause of all this along with their crappy environment government! So what is it that made me like that? Airin sending Najimi into the place where Kakeru and Melon are at! The problem in this whole thing is that Kakeru never told why he canceled the date and he only said to Najimi he has important things to do. So Najimi upon seeing Kakeru with Melon though he rejected her because he loves Melon. What is NASTY, SLEAZY, DISGUSTING WAY for Otoya along with Airin to setup Yell and Melon to fight! YOU BROKE NAJIMI HEART YOU BASTARDS! Najimi looked so shocked not to mention crying herself to death in the rain considering she might even get sick because of this. Najimi though nothing all this time of what would be if she went out with Kakeru. How it might turn out! To have all shatter in front of her because of this setup! Really LOW Otoya and Airin!

So what happens? Kakeru and Melon enjoy the match while Najimi suffers like she never did before. She then summons Yell and orders her to punish Kakeru! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :n onono: because I think the way it was said meant to kill! I still insist that the translation was more kill than punish! Besides that, Yell felt (apparently akikans can feel their masters' feelings and remember them even) such a sadness from Najimi. So to me the order sounded more, as much as it did to Yell, something close to a death order. It switches back to Kakeru and Melon. Kakeru is waiting for Melon to finish buying some souvenirs from this baseball match. As Kakeru waited I knew the showdown had to happen but what I did not expect as Yell appeared and attacked Kakeru right away is that Kakeru would get damaged. I really wanted him to escape Yell and get back with Melon. Regardless when Kakeru got wounded I went EMO! I was literally like OMG NOOOOOOOOOOO Kakeru! No! and I could not believe my eyes! Kakeru is bleeding!!!!!!!! OMG! Huge huge amounts of blood. I JUST HOPE HE DOES NOT DIE NOR SUFFERS TOO MUCH BLOOD LOSS! Yell YOU BITCH! AAAAAAAAARRRGHHHHHHH! RAGE!

I WANT YELL TO HAVE A PERMANENT SCAR! Noe Kakeru has a permanent scar! Don't think this will have no scar effect! It will and all slashes have a scar on the human body depending how deep it is but in Kakeru case it is deep enough. Moreover Kakeru is traumatized and I hope he learns that Yell is to be killed. TT_TT Kakeru! Soon it will be time to find out what happened after that part. SOON! So stay tuned!

I did not like Kakeru calling Melon from the beginning of this episode "idiot can". This is not love but insulting and not of what akikans want.


OMG! Airin gets to be teacher at kakerus' school? NOOOOOOOO!


I HATED THIS PART! Kakeru refusing Najimi on the date they were to go! The reason he gives is soooooo vague!


The first couple Kakeru and Najimi run into when they try to conceal themselves since Melon has to turn can and then human without being seen.


Their expressions after seeing the first couple was sooooooooo ahahaahahahaha! Good laugh!


It was even more funnier with their expression on the second couple.


Ah the famous kiss once again! Been a while since I have seen them like this and on top of that Melon held onto the kiss longer, which means she is starting to love Kakeru? LET'S HOPE!


Another funny scene where Kakeru and Melon are in offensive radar form. Ready to attack but too paranoid if you ask me. Although that wound would be enough for me to get angry for my akikan!


Najimis' imagination of Kakeru and Melon is not off but her jealousy might be since this inevitable with akikans and owners.


Yet, another funny scene where Melon and Kakeru fight around the TV to see Yell during the game serving people so that Kakeru gets a good idea of her.


Melon drawing of Yell, WAS TERRIBLE! Although being the first time drawing is not surprising for a person like Melon.


Airin MOE, MOE and MOE with her reactions to cats!


LOVE her cell phone attachments although too big for my tastes.


Kakeru is so funny in this scene when he is hungry and dying! Hahahhaha! Looks to me like one of those people that are about to die of a fatal wound or dehydration.


Another funny scene around the same part. This were Kakeru's face MAKES MY DAY!


Melon looks soooooooooooo CUTE! SO MOE! SO PRETTY! TOO MUCH BEAUTY IN THAT SCENE.


LOVE Budokos' surprised face to see Melon and Kakeru! :D

WOW! Melon suddenly does not mind rubbing her breasts on Kakeru! O_O such a change!


Ok this change completes previous picture in that Melon hugs out of happiness Kakeru! O_O Another change that makes me think Melon likes Kakeru more than before.

*PUKES* *VOMITS* I really felt like that during this scene. Otoyas' gay shit is making me feel not good during scenes like that. I mentioned before and it still has a effect on me.


Najimi is so embarrassed and jealous of Melon x Kakeru! Her expression and shock was a big heart thump for me. I did not think she would see them.

It's not often we see Najimi and Yell like that so I here it is! I find nice but she feels not much from it like Kakeru since I guess she is a girl and so is her akikan.



Sounds to me like a order to kill Kakeru than to punish him.


Melon is soooooooooooo KAWAI! CUTE! MOE! LIKE THAT! YES! CUTENESS TO THE MAX!

KAKERU GOT HIT! GOT HIT! DAMN! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! OMG! NOOOOO! OMG! Is he going to die! NOOOOOOO! I DON'T WANT THAT! NOOOOOOOO! DAMN YOU YELL! YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR! YOU MUST PAY! Revenge I say! Kil Yell! Najimi you should have given Yell clearer instructions because now Kakeru might be dead BECAUSE OF YOU! Is what I had to say to this. SO MUCH BLOOD! SO MUCH! DAMN IT!



BTW even the ED of this episode is sad!
