Gurren Lagann
During the first half of the series, I said on more than one occasion, "This is the greatest thing I have ever seen"
Unfortunately, after the first half of the story ended, I could barely bring myself to watch the rest of the episodes. It deteriorated into Mecha Dragon Ball Z Still, I heartily recommend the series. Good stuff. |

It did get a bit much for me near the end, but it did make me crack up so hard at how ridiculous exaggerated and funny it was. I agree the story for the first half was really well done. Gainax did good with Gurren Laggan, but they'll make better.
