the list was long but one film draw my attention because of 2 things
1- the movie review was very high despite the epic fail
2- Anthony Quinn was the star (how a movie with Anthony Quinn as star fails?) also Oliver Reed was in this movie as well as

that film was Lion of Desert



so i watched the film with no idea about what it contains (well i did have preliminary idea about the concept).........that was last week and till this time i watched it 3 times.....it was AMAZING and i didnt expect this to be such a wonderful experience

i hope i don't offend any Arabian man who read this but i always thought that Moemar Alkadhfy (Libyan president) is a dictator and terrorist....but to think that this man came from the same country as Omar Mukhtar.....WOW

the plot was about a struggle for freedom that took place in the African desert. This movie story about the Libyan resistance leader, Omar Mukhtar, who led the Libyan resistance against the Italian oppressors from 1911-1931. The movie takes place during the reign of Mussolini.

Omar Mukhtar was brave and proud with highly sense of dignity and honor.....in fact i stopped the movie in the middle thinking this cant be true (i mean i didn't believe someone can be like him)...but historical documents assured me that the plot was historical correct...and Anthony Quinn played act brought him to life making the viewer experiencing what Omar's feelings and dreams

the film was sooooo amazing that i recommend it to the classical movies lovers

the funniest think is that the director (i dont recall his name) was the same person who created the super horror movie Halloween


My advice to you....watch this movie with open mind and you will be pleased

I thought this episode kind of sucked because you had a strong lady who fought against all kinds of odds to clear her name, and then she goes and screws up again at the end. Were people wanting her to be in DS9 so badly that she wanted an episode to say she didn't want to be in Star Trek anymore? Sometimes I think the writers just over think things.

How many of us would have cared if we didn't see Ro Laren again? Sure she was a good character but I think a fade out would have been better then a "kill her off." Which is essentially what happened.

The other day me and my girl friend decided to have home-date-watch movies....date, so long story short while i was browsing the movies i stumbled upon rather grimish looking poster of what i thought was a cgi movie (turned out to be clay-pupet like chicken run) called mary and max (the poster is shown below)

"based on true story" what drives me to rent it....and after watching it i have one word to describe it

AMAZING

this movie was truly amazing in fact i think it deserves the oscar (it was better than "up" and you can imagine what i mean)

and it wasnt just me,apparently this movie was well critically recieved too and some of them called it a masterpiece and others irresistable
and i personally gave him 9.5/10

The story can be described as fairy tale (it extends from the 70's up to 90's)......an isolated-fat six years old girl with no friends and slightly ugly face (lived in Austerlia) was wondering one day about something (not gonna tell you what because i want you to see it yourself) while she was in small store with her drunk mother she saw an American addresses book and started to read the names, some was funny in her opinoin and she wondered how they looked like
that when she had an idea of picking a randomly name to ask him which was max.......Max was a 44 retarted obesed man with simple mind (his life was so fragile that when his fish died he had to buy a new one so that his life wont change), upon reading the letter he was frightened and anxios, but after 18 hour of staring outside the window he wrote back hence making an unusual but strong friendship

the film is full of surprises (i guess since it was based on true story) and humor and lots and lots of funny and unusual conversition (i quote from max "people only believe in god so they can explain things like where is the universe come, will the worms go to heaven and why grandmothers has blue hair")

truly the movie is worth checking and i am not ashamed when i say i shed tears when i watch it:wakuwaku:

so my advice to you is to watch this masterpiece (oh and one last think....although it is an animation it is not for kids....16+ i think)

I got back from the midnight showing only minutes ago.

People....this is Michael Jackson at his finest. The magic he produced in those REHEARSALS was just amazing. He enthralled me, and I have to say, his specific performance of Heal The World nearly brought me to tears. He put new magic into old hits, like Thriller and Billie Jean, and despite his deteriorating health, Michael still had all his moves.

I'm relatively speehcless over this movie. :wakuwaku:
