I haven't really tried using it before and have found out that splashtop says please install splashtop the splashtop system using the executable file. Well I have found (after alot of searching) the executable file. Now when I tried to install it it installed to the C: drive and got to the end of the install and said installation failed cannot upgrade program version to version 1.xxxx as you are currently running version 1.xxxx
Anyways it is a Sony Vaio NW Series Notebook.... Good day i have a huge sound card problem my system is running windows xp ice edition (hacker programmed) service pack 3, i have been using it for a year, i recently had to get a mother board because my old one was fried seeing as i was broke my friend gave me a ddr 1 motherboard he was not using, so i installed it and more or less got everything up, so anyway the old sound card from my old motherboard was put into the new one with all my other old pci hardware, my external cards won't fried because my graphic card is working, and i tested my sound card and it was being read on another system i am currently getting no sound from neither my on-board sound card or my external sound card, my old motherboard was able to use both as i can freely go to the sound properties and change from my default to my sound card and get sound now my new motherboard is unable to get neither, i did all the basic i re-installed my windows, i un installed on board drivers left external drivers, i un installed external left on board, i installed another operating system,i went into bios and disabled my inboard sound card, i took my external sound card out and tried my on board, i even triple checked to see if there mute, but yet i got no sound on either my external sound card nor my on-board so am typing this to see if i missed anything, the other operating system i installed was vista ultimate 32 bit and i still had no luck in which my sound card on board was lucky enough to get any sound,
so i come here to ask for help any would be very helpful and thank you in advance.

This issue is that I need to upgrade from Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional without having to reinstall all my programs or backup my files. As I cannot reinstall some of the programs as I do not have another license for them or the program was a limited offer. Now I have the Windows 7 Pro Upgrade Discs for the Vista Systems I own that did not come with the free upgrade. One of my system has the free upgrade so I'll just upgrade it that way and then use the 7 Pro discs to finish it if needed. But on the others The Vista Home Premium and XP Professional I cannot upgrade to Windows 7 Professional without a format and loss of programs if not for having some programs that I cannot replace I would do a format and clean install everytime. But as this is not the case I need help.

edit - after reading the other thread about Doreiku with his burning issues i wanted to know that considering that my burner is literly 5 and a half years old would cleaning it do any good or is it just better to buy a new one like i was planning on doing originally? Also if cleaning it would solve my problem how would i go about cleaning it properly?

Got 2 gig ram, but gonna upgrade to 4 and I have no need for a graphics card because the GPU in the motherboard is good enough for me.

I'll be using the HDMI port in the motherboard, no idea how much power that'll use *shrugs*
The pc Case uses a 12 inch fan and two 2 inch fans aswell.



I'm gonna be buying these parts and just need to double check that a 350w PSU should be sufficient enough to run theses. If not, your gonna make me buy a 750w......:sic:

so recon 350w is enough? I won't be overclocking the ram or processor with that amount of power yet.
