or maybe you are so new to forums that you don't understand the rep point thing...

contributors (the people that do the work to upload this stuff), can configure their posts to not allow people that don't contribute anything to the forum to access the data.

this particular contributer has decided that anyone wanting to download this file (or files) needs to have contributed enough to get 55 rep points... now 55 rep points are pretty easy to get.... but since you're new, I can understand that it is a little bewildering...

the practice of "taking" from forums without contributing to the forum is called "leeching", and it is NOT a very popular practice amongst contributors. If you seriously interested in being a member of this forum, (at least enough to get this game) then contact me tomorrow and I'll help you out, and show you how to become active and get some rep points... (it really is pretty easy)

if you're NOT interested in being a member of this forum then please, by all means... gtfo!

please, do not leech this forum...

You did the right thing even if it was harsh, but he/she deserved it, if he/she had something along the line of "I really want this game, may you suggest some fast ways of obtaining rep" then it might've been taken a different way, however the fact that he/she actually asked you to copy the links for he/she then you had the right to be harsh considering he/she just asked you to leech for he/she.....

Imo you did the right thing, so don't get yourself down about it, less leechers the happier it is for everyone on this forum

You did good, man. Part of being a mod is enforcing the rules - asking you to cheat the system just for one person isn't fair to you or them or anyone else here. You just explained why things are the way they are here without being mean - I've seen mods elsewhere who are *much* harsher. Don't keep worrying about it. If this person really wants the game they can come and join in! (Even if the link is dead by the time they get to it, that's one of the reasons we have a request section.)

Leechers are the enemies of all sites and I'd ban all of them without a second thought. He/she got what he/she has deserved.

Moderators should be harsh sometimes, don't worry about it.

Not really, Leechers actually help more then you think. They earn websites revenue that they need to pay the hosting bills.

And when you spend time uploading a file would you rather get 30 downloads from "active" members? Or 300 from leechers downloading it to? Personally I feel much happier with the 300.

I kinda agree with you personally, but I also kind of have to back up contributors that post a minimum requirement... I figure if the contributor doesn't mind, then I dont.... but I think the contributor should have the say...

in this case, the minimum requirement to see the links is 55 rep points.... which doesn't seem high... but if you're new and have 0 posts and 0 rep, it might seem like a lot...

I will continue to enforce the wishes of admin and the contributors.... but seriously, if you don't mind people "leeching" your links, then don't put a minimum requirement on them.

Unless I'm told otherwise by admin, I will continue to follow this policy.

Peacock!! don't forget to read the staff section!
As for the rep, each user start with 10 rep point so actually you need 45 point not 55 point and as there are free Anime, free hentai etc.. there are also these sections with the rep requirement , just slightly better quality but i think all our sections free or not are all HQ section.

Also leechers are good! imagine if these leechers or guests became that active, that would put a lot of stress on the server, it all balances each other.

I'm relatively new and not used to direct download. Before I joined this site I've only been to torrent sites. Leechers aren't welcomed there at all.

I have to get more used to this site and direct download. ^^'
