Impressions:
Either Kanokon’s ecchi-ness has toned down a fair bit or I’ve just grown accustomed to it to the point where it no longer phases me. While the latter case worries me a bit (from a personal standpoint), it was nice to see some plot development progress along, with Minori causing Kouta to awaken his own powers and be the one to fuse with Chizuru. Other than that, I felt that the Nanao twins realizing the wrongs of their ways during this episode also gave Kanokon some more plot/story elements, which as odd as it may sound, made this week’s showing very “normal” and un-Kanokon-like. While the depth of the plot isn’t nearly as profound as many other series, it’s definitely there, so this can go to show that Kanokon isn’t all about ecchi-ness and nothing else.
Next time, it looks like everyone’s headed off for some scorching hot sun, which leads me to believe that this is going to be our obligatory beach episode.
