Review-AVP R (Alien vs Predator: Requiem)

I was expecting something bigger and better than AVP but in the end...

The 1st movie wasn't so great but it was watchable because despite of what some people say this movie didn't feel like a generic action/horror flick.

AVP:R is so full of slasher movie clichés that you would feel like you're watching an slasher film with predators and aliens rather than serial killers.
Let's take a look at it's major faults:
huge explosions/crashes that two people or less see but the rest of the town doesn't notice? Check.
Obligatory teenage sex scene? Check.
Gore factor that serves no other purpose than to creep out and disgust audiences? Check.
Cookie cutter, predictable characters? Check.

The directors that have credited themselves The Strause Brothers managed to create a total mess of a movie in every sense possible.
Sending only one Predator to earth, while the Aliens are almost by the hundreds? That even bothers to remove any traces of the alien race but finds time to skin random people?

Also another problem that it starts out big and kinda fizzles out relying in extreme gore to keep audiences from leaving the theater (Kids and pregnant women are not spared from this ordeal)

AVP:R could've been big and great, but it ends up being messy and unappealing to even fans. But if you're a gorehound and could care less about story; then this movie is for you.

score: 2/10

In my humble opinion, AVP 2 only consist of bloody killing and massacre.

It's really not suitable my taste.

Most sequels are bad, and this is one of them.

Re: Review-AVP R (Alien vs Predator: Requiem)

Dissing a movie when you over analyzed the concept. Tisk Tisk. Just take the very basics here, well because that's what I figure concepts to be when I write scripts.

Basics:

1. Aliens: simple race which has the very basics to survive. Feed, sleep, work...repeat.

2. Predators: Advance race. We don't know much about it's true personalities other than each predator having complete honor and built based on a hunting game.

Now, two basics here being applied together. What are you going to expect? A gore fest....well...of course.

To sit back and watch/read or do anything related to the AvP franchise and expect more of character stories or something that might win an award...your set way off course buddy.

"All critics should burn in hell" beind said so many times. You go and watch a movie. You don't like it, fine. But to start telling to others about the movie being a 1 star B rated flick is just wrong. I can understand letting people know about the fact that it's a gore fest or something, however to talk about the clichés it has.....ummmm....that's called "dissing" (slang term...lol) in my book. No point.

As my uncle said "To bring disgrace to something when it's not needed. Only means your envious". Think about that guys :D

To the end, forever.
