The Girl in Byakkoya by Susumu Hirasawa is a pretty cool song. Here is the music video:

Re: Jap Songs Recommendation

I'd recommend ALI PROJECT, they're songs are usually pretty catchy.

Kokia has an absolutely incredible singing voice, as well.

...those are also the only two Japanese artists I can stand to listen to. XD

Re: Jap Songs Recommendation

I'm surprised no one has recommended Minori Chihara's work. It tends a bit toward j-pop, but it's classy regardless. Especially her remix of the Majokko Megu-chan (魔女っ子メグちゃん) OP.

...and It doesn't hurt that Paradise Lost is just addicting.

Re: Jap Songs Recommendation

I guess my #1 recommendation would be Utada Hikaru - she's simply awesome and I saw she was mentioned in this thread before.
Another one I love would be Kalafina, their album "Seventh Heaven" is simply ♥

Better read my post instead of this.

J-rock / J-pop:
YUI (Yoshioka Yui)
Tsuji Shion
Nana Kitade

And if you're willing to go a little hardcore then:
Maximum The Hormone: An awesome Japanese Heavy Metal band^^

Re: Jap Songs Recommendation

Hey hey got a list right here:
L'arc en C'iel (epic band op for full metal alchemist + ed for Rounin Kenshin)
Kotoko (kind of pop but has some trance too ~kawai)
Abingdon Boys' School (dam good band shaking up the charts)
For hardcore:
Maximum The Hormone (crazy ass band... drummer Nao abuses the snare drum)
X-Japan (band that introduced visual Kei styles to jap)
Dir en grey
Just some that come to mind

Give a man a fire keep him warm for a day, set a man on fire keep him warm for the rest of his life.

Friend of mine said this "God told Moses 'Come fourth & you will get eternal life' Moses came fifth & got a toaster" now I look at him differently....
