As far as I'm concerned, age doesn't really matter when you want to view certain mature content. The kids of today often know what the word 'sex' and 'cock' means and I'm sure most of them by the age of 10 would have seen porn on the internet. So hentai isn't really a problem, plus he's 14 so who gives a damn?

Legally no, that's considered pornographic content and a 14 yr old is considered a minor.

1. You have the right to possess hard-core pornography/obscenity for your own use in your home.
2. You do not have the right to sell or show hard-core pornography to others.
3. You do not have the right to possess child pornography.
4. You do not have the right to show or give material to a minor that is harmful for a minor.

Then again, it depends on where you live and it's jurisdiction.

Personally, as long as your friend doesn't go around raping people and generally behaves themselves in society, what they do in the privacy of their own home is no concern of mine. Don't try this argument on their parents, though.

Yes just make sure he learns how to hide it and be smart enough to learn that hentai isn't really but just fun to get off on. But seriously this is a life lessen almost every teenager goes through so it's okay but teach him the tircks to keep it from his parents it is a right of passage.
