i dont think that its weird for a guy to like romantic anime because i know a lot of guys who like romantic anime and its cute when they discuss it with you and talk about the parts that they like compared to you

Not weird. I love romance anime. An example would be 5 cm/s. That movie is absolutely great! I admit, I shed tears on that one.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all either. Romantic animes (I'm talking about the good ones here) tend to have drama, which makes the plotlines more complex, and gives the anime a deeper level. Most, if not all, of my favorite animes have at least a touch of romance added.
I personally like it more when guys like a little romance-it generally raises my opinion of them.

There's nothing wrong with it, no.
Romance is present in almost all forms of entertainment, because it's the one identifying emotional factor which we can all relate to. It prompts people to invest in characters personally. No, maybe we didn't all lose our parents to supervillains, or become the strongest beings on the planet, but we do all share the desire to find someone to be with. None of us want to be alone, and it's a strong motivator. However... if I find you crying like a little baby over the ending of the first season of Dokuro-chan, and writing sappy Chobits fanfic, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have a hard time respecting you. |
