Spoke with a friend recently about hugs. She said she doesn't mind hugs but hates being hugged from behind, even by friends. Others have said the opposite and said they only like hugs from behind.

What are your thoughts?

Any hugging is good, as long as it's from a girl.

A lot of girls on this forum will agree with me too, apparently.

So long as I know the person, hugs are perfectly fine, front or back, male or female, so long as I dont get stabbed in the process XD

I dont mind a guy hugging me once their fronts are away from mine and im not having any man hug me from behind.
Girls could of course hug me anyway they want :)

I find hugs from behind to be more... intimate. I think girls usually don't mind hugs from behind (or in front) if done with another girl, but that they're going to be less open to it if it's with a boy. Depends if the guy's a friend, etc., and even then, a hug from behind from a guy doesn't seem too likely to me, unless he's their boyfriend.

In real life I'm a little different. I bit more shy. I don't mind them, I'm just not as huggy to people I don't know. I have to get to know a person first.

i love it when i get hugged and i do not mind it if it from a boy or a girl but i really like it when i get hugged from behind it is really comforting ^__^

Surprising a girl with a hug from behind could possibly be construed as sexual harassment.

Symbols and emblems are what gives us anonymous users a recognizable identity. Kippy could have had anything else than the communist symbol, as long as it was violent, well known, and not pejorative. I'm not pompous enough to make my own emblem.
