i have the same problem and my solution is reading shoujo manga since it is romantic and you canfell with the characters
for me it takes my mind of my romantic needs and a think about the manga characters actions etc.
and if you want to kill it just ask a girl out but make sure she turns you down and you will get pissed and will not feel the need so much ^__^
