well, i´m not happy with the way i look, and i think most (not all) girls can say the same.
i´m really insecure about my look, so i dont take pics EVER..... the only ones i have are the ones i take while i´m kinda drunk, and maybe 1 or 2 sobers, but just because the person that took the pic spend around 15 minutes convincing me that i looked OK that day...

I think you can answer this:

If physical attraction didn't really mean much in relationships, why would we as a species even have a notion of it?

We are one of the few species that have a selective breeding system, ie, we pick who we fuck. So whats the reason for this? To better our collective gene pool, I'd say. Now, there are other factors to the sustainability of the human species beyond physical prowess, like intelligence, humor, etc., buuuut there are generally no true outward indicators of these traits. So we look for the obvious -- the physical frame. People like what people like for a reason: Girls like muscley, angular guys because these features are a common indicator of physical survivability and dependability; Guys like big tits and hips because these are indicators of an ability to successfully carry, bear and nurture a child.

Physical attraction is important in any relationship, not because humans are fundamentally shallow, but because the physical features that humans are attracted to are faithful indicators of basic biological abilities, necessary for our species advancement and continuity. Relationships have two sides, the mental and the physical. You can be overwhelmingly in love with somebody's personality, but if there is no physical side to the relationship (dependent upon physical attraction) it just won't work in most cases.

I'm concerned about how I look when I go out, in fact I'm so concerned I stop short of being metrosexual, that is, if I was a guy. But yes I'm concerned and sometimes when I get up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror i feel slightly insecure. Luckily it doesn't last long.

Yes, Im the same. Like... ppl say that I'm ok, but I'M NOT! I live in america latina, and I'm a asian... the stereotype of beauty is totally different from where I lived...
Big boobs, wonderfull bodies, Thats what most part of guys want (fact)....so idk...

i live in latin america too.....
and i´m latina, and have the big boobs, and all, but the problem is that guys say that they like big boobs, but in reality, if all the girls in here have big boobs, then the ones with small ones are the ones to stand out.....

at least all my friends will kill to be with a cute asian girl....

But ah, I lived in asia most part of my life, then when I came here, well...it was totally different for me, and i know that there are a lot of weird guys that loves asian girls, but still...I dont feel part of it.

at least, you should be proud of your body....i guess

I'm not sure what most guys look for in women as it can differ widely based on the person, but for me I like intelligent, sophisticated, and caring girls, well that and I look for ones that share some similar interests.

Yes I think looks matter, just not so much as most girls think they do, sure if you have large breasts you are probably going to get more lustful stares, and more guys asking you out, but that doesn't mean you aren't ever going to get a chance, it just means you are probably going to do more looking for guys you like than the ones who just have to wait for them to come to them.

now I'm not saying my advice is 100% accurate and will work all the time, but I am saying what I think. Feel free to prove me wrong if you like.

well, the thing is that i dont think i´m hot....

but the trick is making guys think you are...

aparently, out going is considered really HOT, so if you are like that, even if you dont have the hottest body, guys will want you anyway....

soo, just be confident when talking to guys, and they´ll be eating of your hands.....

btw, where are you living?? can you say???

I cant act like that...and the fact is that I wont be hot, never!
Another thing is: I'm shy.
Ok, there is a community of asian ppl here, my parents want me to be and to hang out only with japanese ppl...but I dont, I have another friends (latino ones), and I really dont feel attracted by asian boys.

No problem, I live on Chile, santiago del chile...(but now I'm on brazil for vacations)
