i have a problem that has turned into a cycle actually that i have gone out with several girls this year but once they find out that i watch anime and read manga every one has either called me immature and left or would just start acting strange and i would break up with them, I'm not the type of person to change for anyone except if it its for my own personal reasons, and i just want some help cause im really getting sick of this cycle and dont want it to happen with my current relationship

Hey you like anime and manga and they don't. They think your love for anime and manga is strange and immature. Its simple. Don't go out with them. Why would you have to hide the fact that you like something just because they aren't willing to accept it? Find a girl who doesn't mind all the anime and manga and stick with her.

Oh well,the girls you're choosing must be wrong.Next time go for someone who has at least a slight idea of what really manga is and anime.I say don't change it or keep it as a secret to save your relationship.Tell that to her from the beginning before you get into something serious cause if she leaves you at the beginning it won't make much of a difference and you won't get hurt.
But anyway,like I said try to find a girl who has the same interests as you(like anime or manga).There are plenty so it won't be too hard for you to find.

What your hobbies and interests are have nothing to do with your partner, if they dont like it then they'll have to put up with it. I've seen a few of my friends change when in a relation.....and thats because they don't want to lose that relationship, they cling on and almost act like a butler at times. I love my anime and manga....and there is no way in hell im going to give it up, im even trying to do my own comic......and until im satisfied im not stoppin. You'll come across the right person....if not....then ill kill fate for you :P

On a slightly offtopic approach......you could convert them......I accidently got my friend into anime, and in turn he infected someone else. Mwhahahahaha......erm a suggestion you could try lol.

the whole concept of finding someone that excepts you for who you are is easier said then done but i think what i read gave me the morale boost i needed thanks ill see how the one im in rides out and try to be more careful from now on either that or not get emotionally attached

*Yeah i remember in lightening my friends during high school to anime, and in turn they others. I mean most of my closes friends love anime.*

I not sure what to say since I've never had a girlfriend before, but if you don't want to be disappointing later in a relationship, why not tell them up front.

Ah yeah I do that too I don't keep it a secret I even make some of my friends watch it at the begining they're like: "This is stupid watching cartoons..." but at the end of 1 or 2 episodes they're like: "OMG That was like the most amazing things I've ever seen!!" xD

^ i was like that at first when my brother started me with anime.. i was a lot younger and i wasnt interested and he basically FORCED me to watch it.. and after the second episode i was wanting for more xD and when i finished.. ermm.. well.. wanted a second season ^^'' (still waiting tho.. but by now.. im sure there won't be for any of those series T.T)

so just invite her over and let her try it out may b she'll like it and be a fan with you ^^ if not then she'll have to accept it (if she doesnt she'll be the inmature one) and you can do other stuff you may have in common ^^
