So how do you do it? I'm sure pretty girls are told often that they are pretty so how can you tell her she is pretty without it sounding like another "empty" compliment?

For example "you look very pretty today", is a nice compliment but she will have heard it so many times!

Just wondering for other ways to say it so that it sounds more meaningful and will leave a nice impression?

First of all, youd have to be pretty popular and known to just go and say " goddamn youre beautiful today " to a girl, and for her to take it as a compliment of some sort...

You need a totally different scenery, a good mood, like some sorta date or some, you need to get your mood right, and then just look her in the eyes and tell her " you look so beautiful ", as what comes for the eyes, dont blink em, might make her think youre lying and cant look her in the eyes and say it out loud

Just look at a thesaurus and you'll see dozens of ways.

I prefer to tell girls they look cute. Cute is like a sign of innocence imo, and most girls have a positive reaction to it (or at least when I said it, 1 would always giggle and one would uber blush.........then wouldnt talk to me for the rest of class cuz she was so damn shy <3 )

If you want an everyday-like compliment then I prefer compliments on the little things. Compliments on clothes and accessories are always nice, they tend to make my day and I always end up having a new favorite.

To be honest, if someone I hardly know told me I was pretty/cute/etc, I wouldn't know how to react.

Oh i wasn't meaning how to tell a random girl they're pretty, just girls you know enough to talk to...

i don't really see girls out side of school so compliments on clothes won't really work because they all wear the same uniform and with complimenting accessories, will the girl not think that a guy might be a bit gay if he notices earrings, rings etc and says they're nice?

i think theyd appreciate even just a "you look great today" compliment. no need to get all fancy and stuff. those little compliments go a long way.

Why would they think that a guy is gay?

They might think of you as a pervert if you notice every single little detail, but typically girls wear earrings and stuff because they want people to notice them.
