Seriously what can you accomplish with a love letter? If you tell her your name (in most animes they never reveal their identity) she will probably ignore it (unless she is a b*tch and rub it in your face) unless you know each other and talked before. If you don't then with a little bit of luck you can get a first (blind? it depends) date but in most cases it would also be the last (again unless you talked, hanged out before).

ive never written a love letter to my gf. before haha. well once during valentines day :] a little cheesy but its the thought that counts. anyways to the OP, just chillax man. youre worrying too much. just go for the letter ! if you fail on this one, then theres plenty of other girls out there. if i had thought of this approach before i met my gf, then i most likely wouldve given it a shot.

I think love letters are cute and I've gotten quite a few of them in the past few years but I don't do the whole "meet me at [place] at 4" deal unless they ask me face to face.

So just walk up and ask to talk to them later if you're too scared to confess in front of people. Just don't use a proxy, most girls find that you don't like them enough to try and ask them yourself through letter, email, face2face etc.

anyway, if u insist on writing a love letter, I believe there's no such thing as "rules to writing a good love letter". It depends on the girl. What matters most is your sincerity. I believe even though u end up with a letter that really sux, if the girl sees your sincerity in it, she'll appreciate it.

From personal experience: Love letters don't work. I write few letters to girl I got crush on. I was straight <and I also wrote my name so she knew from who they were> in those letters and she dumped me via letter. I would say it was less painful. BUT LOVE LETTER GIVES GIRL MORE OPENINGS TO DUMP YOU THEN DIRECT APPROACH. That is what I think now.
I also want to say that I'm not very experienced in male-female relationships and i don't have girlfriend.
