It's a Japanese proverb.
Basically, he may speak sweetly but he is really thinking of bad/viscious things. However, personally I think that is a different kind of person. You can be nice and charismatic, or "evil" and charismatic (a bit like a used-car salesman :P ). Just because you're charismatic doesn't mean you're out to get everyone. Just depends on how you use that charisma. |

That kinda shifts the focus from handsome vs charisma to personality. Not that I mind though I have more confidence in my personality then my charisma, and I never thought I looked handsome or even tried to be.
