We start our own manga magazine!! ^^
Yeah! I start with friends our own mangas magazine, this is with just original stuff (no fanart or doujinshi)... Short story mangas on an black and white 80 pages book with a perfect binding...
Actually we sell the first one called Mangue«A» (mangue it's the fruit mango in french) and the other books who' follow called Mangue«B» and Mangue«C»... We are more than 15 people who's work on it... I'm the only guy who's draw something! T_T I'm proud to present it a the next Otakuthon Anime Festival of Montréal in august... And we try so much to produce Mangue«B» and a adult series called CACTUS+16 (Yaoi, Yuri, Seinen, Eichi...). Thank you! ^^ It's cost expensive to print it, but it's fun! The goal it's just cover our charge, no to make money! In our first experiment we print it at home with a personal printer... We bust it last week... T_T
An to make the book we use hot glue... Well it's better with a profesionnal print... We found one not too expensive in the next town!!! |

Sounds cool, i once tried to produce a mag too but couldnt cover the print charges so i just made a couple of copies with my sisters scanner and spread them out for free, but yeah drawing a mag could be fun, try to get someone to do a english translation from it, thatd be awesome

I know what you mean by doing everything on the project.. I've been trough the same and I won't share the designs I made for the project ever to anyone outside it. It could still be worked on.. but... the leader is so away that it became kinda impossible to do all by myself. Last time we were talking about illustrations rather than a full manga comic.
Er, anyway, good luck with the project! And hope you get to sell alot and get into AnimeNorth some time soon.  ^ My GFX Thread ^
