Magnus Kain's Gallery
I'm new to drawing. I never attempted to draw ever assuming I couldn't but my better half talked me into trying and I surprised myself. So here is a few. I got about 20 or so more.
![]() ![]() I drew the Full Metal one looking at the picture. (not tracing) ![]() |

Re: Magnus Kain's Gallery
simply put, first = horrible, second = I love it, it's good, third = same as first.
Here is one tip which i have never ever tried before, cause i just thought of it. Try drawing by looking at the parts you like/want e.g. 1st draw a face, you flip through a manga, finds the face you like, draw it down. 2nd, draw eyes, you flip through the manga again, find the eyes you like, then draw it down. so on and so forth. you have a good "sharingan" technique, but thats only when you are looking. Try using it to get your hand-eye cordination better. |

Re: Magnus Kain's Gallery
to be honest with you, you do need more practise, the shape of the face needs work.
try using a different softness of pencil, try using a softer pencil, and soften thos hard lines for example the last pic. theres not much depth or shading. i think in terms of detail, your getting things ok, it's just the quality of your lines, and the shading. theres no depth in the eyes, but it all needs practise. its nice when you havent tried something before, and you do surprise yourself with what youve done, you think i actually did that and at least it resembles something lol.. at least thats what i thought when i first started drawing. just keep it up, do a bit more sketching and shading, try a few observational drawings that could help the tone. :D |

Re: Magnus Kain's Gallery
i think they r gud tho, u shuldnt give up. just because u find somehing a little hard to do. but if u feel more comfortable with doin the other things then by all means do it, its always good just to experiment once in a while :D

Re: Magnus Kain's Gallery
i like your first picture, though out of perspective, it's quite detailed. as for the remaining pictures, other than the faces and hair, looks pretty okay to me.
