Has anyone else seen the newest Code Geass episode? It is seriously epic. Good guesses. All my guesses/predictions were wrong except Anya have something to do with Marianne.

This episode totally threw me off. Anya = Marianne? Lelouch's "Great plan" is to blow up the exit? Suzaku is all "rawr I want to kill" then "rawr, I want to suffer for sins"? People are actually shocked about Schneizel taking over? So much of this episode made little sense or was very disappointing. I can only hope that 21 makes Lelouch's move make more sense, and that somewhere else the Anya-Marianna connection is better hinted at or explained. Also, why didn't Lelouch use "You will do everything I say." before, if that was possible? He's a character smart enough to figure that out. Ridiculous.

Edit: After looking at Anya's character entry, the Marianna thing makes much more sense. I pretty much tended to ignore Anya before, figuring she was just another one of the Emperor's pawns, so I forgot that I had chalked her memory loss up to his Geass. Anya's memory loss toward blog entries she can't recall writing suggests that Marianna can take over Anya at will, much like it seems C.C. could have chosen to take over her own body from that 'inner world' place. Anya also did have the random flashbacks of Lelouch, which I had forgotten. I did remember her protecting Nunnally, but thought that was just her doing her duty. Even so, the connection is apparently made more explicit in the novels.

Someone on another forum said they'd have preferred, and it'd have made more sense, for Nunnally to have been taken over by Marianne. That, I agree, would've thrown me better. Ah well.

As for Lelouch suddenly going into uber-control mode, research also tells me that one's Geass grows stronger the longer they have it/more they use it, until it spreads to both eyes or actives permanently, at which point the immortality transfer can happen.
