well, i tend to keep it quiet, it's pretty easy for me as i'm not rlly a talker (by nature) and a good actor.
Besides i know from experience that if i tell that i watch anime in my country there is an automatic link to Hentai (there is in my cause) but anyways it's rather anoying, so it's best to keep it for myself in forms of diplomacy.

If i meet an Otaku i can most likely see it by it's behavior, i can not rlly explain it, but i recognise them 7 out of 10 times.

thats strange i can never tell when someone watches anime or reads manga just like that
but then again the people i know that are otakus are not really like me in many ways so i guess that has a thing to do with the issue ...

Not really, I don't do anything weird or anything I see in Anime, like falling and "accidentally" having my head stuck between her legs. Although, sometimes I start spacing out and day dreaming about what's going to happen on a next episode.

i watch anime when i should be studying -_-" so yes... has a big affect on my marks xD...

on another note... ef - tale of memories, toradora, tokyo magnitude 8.0 have affected me as a person...

oh and i have to mention fate/stay night =P

some animes inject some positive valus into my life and i always think about it.
i don't share it with anybody, i just keep it to myself.
really helped me get through many obstacles in my life and thats probably the reason why i've been addicted to animes my whole life.
any anime would definitely have an effect on someone's life.
