Well, I finished it. I have to say it was...expected. It was good, but...expected. Obviously the main problem in the anime was Makoto. He was so indecisive and perverted that I for some reason didn't even hate the guy. I thought he was an idiot, but I didn't hate him. The next at fault would have to be Sekai. For using Makoto without telling her friend. Even Kotonoha is at fault. She lost it after she finally learned and accepted the truth. You can tell by the end of episode 10 she wanted to kill people already. She's an irrational person who couldn't accept facts and by the end it's clear she's gone completely mental. It doesn't matter how right she was about Sekai, they're all crazy in their own way.
The anime was like a tragedy, but I didn't really care for the characters all that much. It was just kind of...there. And then that whole thing with Sawaga, ugh, don't get me started on that. |

I was admittedly drawn to even remotely care about it simply due to the Nice Boat incident, where I thought, "hmm, why is this harem romance drama being canceled along with Higurashi?" and investigated, though I never watched it. I guess one reason to watch it other than the end-twist is to jump on the "OMG I hate Makoto" wagon.

Well
I think that Sekai does have problem, it is not the fact that she tried to seduce Makoto but how she killed him at the end disgusts me. Man, get a grip. It was her that jumped onto him in the first place. Then, she got so jealous and killed him. School Days could have had a happy ending if Sekai hadn't murdered Makoto. |
