I guess if they kill off a character everyone hates, heh.

Who needs to die is Makoto and Sekai, and the other girls who he did it with.

Re: Why is School Days so interesting?
It was an interesting anime just BECAUSE the protagonist was so hateful. It was well written, well drawn and had the fairly interesting premise of taking your standard shy romance male protagonist and following his descent into depravity. He started off too shy to even talk to the girl he liked and then slowly becomes a depraved idiot. He's not a cool villan, certainly. Not everyone can enjoy watching a truly wretched protagonist, but hating him is what the writers were aiming for.
Personally I cheered at the ending because I was waiting for something like that to happen through the whole series, and everyone has an acquaintance like Makoto whom they've probably wished similar ends to. And lazy... you probably should have put spoiler tags around that video, not everyone's seen it yet. :Þ |

Re: Why is School Days so interesting?
Hmm, thanks Toadvine. I think I've changed my mind and will actually watch it. Morely to see how the characterization works out then anything else. I guess I'm both too quick to judge and too quick to change my mind. >_>
God, I'm horrible. Anyway, yeah, it kind of does give away the end Ryo. I mean, it just requires 1+1 thinking to get what is happening. |

Re: Why is School Days so interesting?
Ahh...
Anyway, I will. I might not have time to watch it now though (although it seems pretty short). Going out with my lover for a few days. Road trips, free time because of no college, you know the deal. I'll be sure to comment on it after I finish however. |

Re: Why is School Days so interesting?
It's a great series because of the fact that it shows just how easy things can take a turn for the worse when everything seems so normal.
