Any good scary animes?
Does anyone know any good scary animes? The only one I saw was Ghost Hunt but it wasn't exactly what I expected.
Anyone has something in mind?

Elfen lied if you haven't watch it =] it just amazing i think so many different emotional moments. It has extreme gore and blood 18+

I didn't really like elfen lied, though everyone else I know loved it ^_^ Scary anime...thats a really tough one. There's gory anime, but I wouldn't say theres a lot of scary anime. Petshop of horrors might be your pick.
Also try Boogiepop phantom, and Perfect Blue

Maybe you can try the following :)
Jigoku Shoujo 1 + 2 Ayatsuri Sakon (hm...it depends...but I got scared a couple of times...) Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (it creeps me out....) oh..and maybe school days too....in the end.... |

Elfen Lied- that was mehish. It had it's ups and it's downs.
Anyway, since I don't know your specific definition of horror/scary I'll reccomend a mix of animes: Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade (scary as in it's material and shocking content, not much of a horror) Now And Then, Here And There (mostly the same as above) Kakurenbo:Hide And Seek (Now this is a typical japanese horror. It'll be on the fence for this one whether you'll laugh at it, be bored, or scared shitless) As Christie has suggested Perfect Blue and Boogiepop Phantom I should as well. Both of them are fairly good. Sci-Fi Harry (This is just another teetering one. I've known some people to be scared and others to just shrug it off) Serial Experiments Lain (Hey!...It's creepy in a way. Don't give me that look...shoo) Hellsing (For some reason people view this as a horror. So I might as well put it up there) |

You were close enough. It's Higurashi NO naku koro ni. Basically translates to "When Cicadas Cry" or "When They Cry". It's another good horror anime. Kind of predictable, but it certainly is unique.

I've seen Elfen Lied. It's gory and sometimes shocking but it's not scary. Now Kakurenbo:Hide And Seek I have to check it out. Yeah Japanese horror media in general may be less scary than western media of the same genre as they usually prefer building atmosphere than booing and surprise the viewers. Still I prefer them

Hellsing isn't scary at all....
Neither is Elfen Lied. Perfect Blue would be a good choice, it isn't scary in that way either, but it's really worth the watch :)
