Re: Cartoon Network to Reportedly End Toonami Tonight

Grr...no! I was deeply saddened when this happened last night. Seeing Tom look at me, you, ALL of us who have been watching Toonami and say:

"Until we meet nextime, stay gold...Bang."

It was like I lost a best friend. I remember the good old days!

Ronin Warriors, Voltron, Big O, G Gundam, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, Cardcaptors...all of them were great to watch back in the day, huh guys? But after 11 years, kids don't care about those anymore. They want new stuff. What with One Piece being fucked up 4kids and then sold to Funimation (I have no idea what they're gonna do with it...) and Bo-bobo and MAR gone...all we have is Naruto. I have no idea why or how we ended up with one anime, but there are two possible reasons why.

The first reason is obviously the new viewers. The kids now a days get bored easier. We tried showing them Prince of Tennis, Megaman, and MAR. But apparently they didn't like it thus they only aired for about a month before being taken off. These are decent animes, but kids were bored, so they played PS2 instead.

The second reason is...censoring. Dear sweet goddess... Big O, One Piece, G Gundam...ALL awesome. Yet they were all taken out due to being TOO MATURE for kids. Big O had a serious plot with a few cussing here and there...canceled. G Gundam had a bunch of giant robots fighting and a few people died...canceled. One Piece got bought by 4kids...canceled.

Some shows just ended for no reason. Zatch Bell, Bo-bobo, and Ronin Warriors are examples of this.

All in all...here's what looking at.

Toonami ended due to censoring, low ratings and not having enough shows (anime) on. There's nothing we really can do, either the anime will be too adult or too boring.

But let's never forget the old times we had, watching Cyborg 009 or Sailor Moon. Crying when we found out Goku died, confused when Roger Smith forgot his memory, the look on our faces when the Dark Gundam was finally defeated, screaming when Sailor Moon kissed Tuxedo Mask, and of course throwing up at the sight of SD Gundam.

Let us remember the good and bad of Toonami! A toast! To what we grew up with and what we'll miss dearly...

Bang...
