Tokyopop's Marmalade Boy Anime License Expires
AnimeonDVD.com [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] that Tokyopop's license for Toei Animation's anime adaptation of the Marmalade Boy romance comedy manga has expired. The issue comes in light of Funimation's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to distribute Tokyopop's anime DVD releases. Funimation's press release on the agreement last year had indicated that Marmalade Boy would be included in the agreement. However, the license's expiration will prevent this, unless a new license is obtained from the Japanese rights holders.
