New York Gallery Hosts Millennium Actress, Lectures
On Friday, November 9, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York will [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Satoshi Kon's 2001 anime film Millennium Actress. Tufts University scholar Susan Napier, whose new book on anime is due to be published next month, will introduce the film and present a short lecture. Earlier in the day, she will also deliver a separate talk entitled "Anime and Visual Culture: Is Animation the Medium for the 21st Century?" This talk will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Center for the Arts in the North Campus of the State University of New York at Buffalo.
