Manga Adaptation Wins Korean TV Drama Awards

The winners of this year's Seoul Drama Awards, which recognize excellence in television made-for-television drama, have been announced, and the live-action adaptation of the Nodame Cantabile manga has won in three of the five categories for which it was nominated. Nodame was named best mini-series, and Hideki Takeuchi won the best director category. Music director Daisuke Mogi also took an individual award. Juri Ueno, who plays one of the main characters was also nominated for best actress, but did not win. The final nomination Nodame received was in the best art director category.
