Kodansha Launches 2nd International Manga Competition

Kodansha's Weekly Morning manga division has [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to hold its second Morning International Manga Competition for aspiring artists outside Japan. The competition is based on Kodansha's first competition, which in turn is inspired by similar annual contests that the company holds for native artists. The second competition's deadline is December 31, while the results from the first competition will be announced in August on its [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The first contest's grand prize winner will be published in issue #6 (on sale in mid-October) of the Morning 2 manga magazine.
