TV Tama, one of four Japanese stations that had planned to premiere the controversial Kodomo no Jikan (Nymphet) anime this week,
removed the program from its schedule. TV Tama and another station, Tokai TV, had already preempted the Higurashi no Naku Kore ni Kai mystery anime indefinitely. The Higurashi producers unsuccessfully tried to
convince TV Tama that its program renounces violence in the
wake of Japan's recent juvenile axe assault cases, and the Kodomo staffers
said that TV Tama also cited those cases before that anime's apparent removal. (The staffers only
