Japanese Box Office, July 21–22: Coo debuts at #8

Kappa no Coo to Natsuyasumi ("The Kappa Named Coo and Summer Vacation") enters the top ten chart for this past weekend's box office in Japan at #8. The novel-based anime tells the story of a young kappa, a legendary river creature in Japan, and its adventures with a Japanese boy. Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl: Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai drops from #2 to #3 in its third week to make way for Pixar's Ratatouille, while Piano no Mori drops one spot in its second week to cling to #10.
