Christmas Special Announced for Pénélope Kids' Anime
The book publisher Iwasaki Shoten has [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] a new children's anime special, "Pénélope's Christmas Party," that is based on the European Pénélope [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] from Georg Hallensleben and Ann Gutman. The books recount the adventures of a three-year-old blue koala and her friends. The Japanese public broadcaster NHK-Educational will broadcast the five-minute short on December 15 and 22 at 5:40 p.m. Nippon Animation had previously [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] the books' characters in the 2006 Ukkari Pénélope (Careless Pénélope) series of 26 5-minute episodes.
