British Columbia's Japanese Consulate Presents Anime
The Consulate-General of Japan in Vancouver, Canada is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] a special screening of two recent Japanese films in Vernon, British Columbia. At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, the children's anime Glass Rabbit, a story of growing up during World War II that is based on Toshiko Takagi's autobiographical novel, will play at the Towne Cinema. A screening of the live-action adaptation of the Kamikaze Girls novel will follow at 8:10 p.m. Both films will be shown in Japanese, with English subtitles.
