My knowledge is oftenly due to doujins,whom there are not always true.Then help me if i say something wrong.
For begin, i will present some principals characters:
-Reimu Hakurei: She is the Shrine Maiden. Surely the most powerfull of the all character(with Flandre). She fight with Seals "Cards".
-Marisa Kirisame: She is a Black Magician. Always with her broom, she use laser prismatic magic.She is used to steal ancient book to Patchouli Knowledge.
-Remilia Scarlet: she is vampire. she lived in the scarlet devil mansion with her servant and her friend Patchouli and her sister Flandre. She is not really weak against the sun.
-Patchouli Knowledge: She is a ... monster/human(? i don't know everythings about all the poeple). She possess an extremely big library in the underground of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and live with her friend Remilia.
-Izayoi Sakuya: she is a human .She possess the power to control time and as a super capacity to lanch many MANY knifes in all the ground of fighting. she is the Maid of Remilia.
-Yukari Yakumo: she is a god who can control dimension with a great ease. she never fight as powerfull as she is. She has servant like Ran Yakumo, a powerfull Kitsune woman.
She is alone (with Rinnosuke) to can go out of the Gensokyo.
-Ran Yakumo/Chen Yakumo: they are the "Shikigami" of the god Yukari yakumo. They serve her because they were beaten by her.Ran is a kitsune(fox) and Chen a neko(cat).
-Yuyuko Saigyouji is the ghost 'princess' of Hakugyokurou. her attack is made thanks to spirits formed in butterfly.
-Youmu Konpaku: she is an half human , half phantom. she fight with her sword little knifes and with a spirit who help her. She serve yuyuko
