Re: Top 5 Fave Games
I was surprised to see Shadow Hearts 2 mentioned. I wish I had the chance to play more than 5 hours of that game. It was great while it lasted.
Anyway, for my list, these are games that had some sort of impact far greater than any other games I played:
1) FFX (PS2)
My first FF. Unofficially. I played a few hours of VII and VIII before, but X was different. I loved it.
2) KotOR (PC)
Wow, another awesome experience. Very similar to...
3) Deus Ex (PC)
... Back in the day when my Pentium 100 rocked the world. A well-engineered game that despite feeling slightly clumsy at times, had EVERYTHING to make up for it. Uh, except for the clumsiness of course :p
4) Red Alert 2 (PC)
Online play with my high school friends was so much fun during the weekend nights-in. The connection issues killed the fun eventually. After I killed my friend that is.
And 5) ... And it hurts to say this, but it'd be WoW for sure. I mean, it was SO addictively boring that I had to play it. Guild Wars was my first proper MMO experience, but WoW offered so much more... MMO boredom. Don't get me wrong, WoW was fun.
Worthy mentions:
- Perfect Dark (N64)
- Goldeneye (N64)
- The Sims (PC)
- Guild Wars (PC)
... And others I can't quite think of right now.
