Try using
http://www.hijackthis.de/. It takes a snapshot of your currently running processes, you can try to disable the hijacker and see if that fixes it. If you know the process line you can edit your registry but you have to know what you're doing, also you should try scanning your system with either Avast Anti-virus or AVG they're both free and see if they detect something.
