This game made me laugh because they couldn't possibly balance it and leave the characters from DC with anywhere near full power. Superman could destroy the entire cast of MK, from Raiden and Shao Kahn down to Kano, at the same time with no effort. Then you add in Green Lantern, Captain Marvel and the Flash......
The only DC characters on the list of playable characters who would have any trouble at all with the Mortal Kombat chars (by their powersets) are Batman, the Joker, and Deathstroke.
And they try to explain it as "magic."
Should be a fun game, at any rate.
