Re: Why is School Days so interesting?

Funny you should mention it... I JUST finished watching it an hour ago. I thought it was the WORST p.o.s that I've seen. The main protag, Motoko, was the most hateful, despicable, back-stabbing person I've ever seen, and most of the other characters were varying shadows of the same "qualities". No conscience or redeeming values. I hated him more than any other villain, in fact. And I have a pretty high tolerance LOL

Don't waste your time with it, I would say. Despite what it says, there is no "love" story here, aside from one character, and this one ends up broken. Makoto has no heart. No soul. His reactions on hearing a girl likes him: his leering eyes go right to her boobs, his hands to her ass. That's where he's at :-(

I liked the main girls a lot and hated to see what happens to them, and some minor ones as well. But the only truly loving character ends up corrupted. It seems to celebrate bleak blackness. Just awful

Comparing "harems" in extremes: On one hand, you have something classy, like True Tears. Then... you have this.
